Symptoms from others with diverticulitis, what you did for treatment? How long does it last? - diverticulitis treatment more condition_symptoms

I started with the lower abdomen / left quadrant pain of 8 months. Is it dull, cramping pain, which sometimes is an acute inflammation and pain for it. Besides, my stomach is very sensitive. I have chills, fever or diarrhea. Six months ago I had a negative CT scan, but I was up today, which showed diverticulitis. I'm only 26th
Anyway, the dr. put me on Cipro but I realized that I had before Cipro, when the pain began and dr. I thought I might have a kidney infection. The medicine has nothing for pain, and I'm not so convinced that the diagnosis is correct. Can anyone tell me their experience with diverticulitis with pain and discomfort? How long will it last? Do not come and go or is it the whole time? How do I go? Thanks for any / all help!
